KeysTones (Jupiter)

Singing your soul-o in the key of your essence!

SHORTER STORY

You and I each have an essential key in which we began our songs here on Earth.  It is the key of our essence.  It is the key of the hum we each made as we arrived – innocent, perfect, pure, without experience or knowledge or judgment.

Finding and learning to vibrate in your essential key  allows you to change your interior landscape – centering, returning ‘home,’ remembering who you really are.  Finding your key assists you in learning how to harmonize in tone, octave, timing with the exterior landscape as well.

This necklace is designed based on the familiar Western musical scale with 7 notes in 2 octaves.  It is also designed to accommodate and hold your musical key.

Being in key is an experience of flowing with the river, of dynamic balance, of gentle joy, inner peace and power.  Being out of key if part of life’s experience.  Returning is ‘key.’  Your musical key is your keystone.  It’s what holds everything open — just as the keystone of an arch maintains the arch’s opening.  It brings integrity to your song, your solo, your soul-o.

KeysTones necklaces are associated with the planet Jupiter.  Jupiter has more than twice the mass of all of the other planets in the solar system combined.  Its composition is more like that of the sun than it is like other planets.  In fact, if Jupiter had been larger still, our solar system might have become a binary star system.  As an Archetype, Jupiter is about growth and expansion.

LONGER STORY

Every musical piece is written in a key.  While there may be many key changes throughout the piece that add color, drama, and depth, the essential key of the piece remains the same. Tones are vibrations.  While there are a limited number of musical keys, there are infinite ways to create tone combinations — both harmonic and not harmonic. Musical keys also have octaves — lower and higher levels of the same tones.  The same combination of tones sung in different octaves will sound both the same and not the same at all. Harmony in music is a result of many things.  One is timing.  All of the right notes are for naught if we don’t know how to sing those notes to the beat of the music. These principles of music apply to all things in the Universe.  Including you and me.

You and I each have an essential key in which we began our songs here on Earth.  It is the key of our essence.  It is the key of the hum we each made as we arrived — innocent, perfect, pure, without experience or knowledge or judgment.

And as we work our way through our songs of life, we find ourselves having many key changes that most definitely add color, drama, and depth to our lives.  In fact, we can become so involved in the complexities of these introduced vibrations that it’s possible for us to forget our home key.  That original hum.  While the key changes may be harmonic and may be interesting, they alsohold qualities of tension and suspension.  It’s when a piece returns to the original key that the qualities of resolution and completion enter.  Wholeness.

Perhaps many of the quests of life — in relationships, achievements, the spiritual path — are desires to return to that original key in order to feel that sense of wholeness.  But often those same quests can pull us further away from our key, putting us in other keys than our own.  The music of a key other than our own may be in or out of harmony.  It may be light or dark.  It may be in a higher or lower octave.  It may be simple or complex  The key may be major or minor.

None of that really matters.  All keys are neutral and all music can be beautiful.  All that matters in terms of feeling the wholeness is whether the key is the one of your song.  For example, vibrating in a key lower than the one that is of your essence might manifest as depression or sluggishness.  Or vibrating in a key that is higher than the one of your essence might manifest as anxiety or agitation.

Finding and learning to vibrate in your essential key allows you to change your interior landscape — centering, returning ‘home,’ remembering who you really are.  Finding your key assists you in learning how to harmonize in tone, octave, and timing with the exterior landscape.  It assists you in fully engaging with and appreciating ‘what is’ while neither condoning nor needing to fix what you judge as out of harmony.
